美加華人浸信會聯會執委會於2022年6月16日在加州Anaheim召開會議,由於現任總幹事的健康問題,無法出差,並應他的請求,因此決定任命冼志儉牧師為新任總幹事。 冼牧師將於2022年7月1日開始履行他的職責。我們讚美神對聯會的供應。附上冼牧師的資歷和事奉經驗的簡介。
我們感謝美南浸信會聯會北美宣教部的慷慨安排,允許冼牧師在任北美宣教部全國植堂宣教士期間,兼任這一職。
李英柏牧師將繼續在美加聯會服侍擔任高級聯絡員,其工作是協助新任總幹事。
Announcement
The Executive Board of the Chinese Baptist Fellowship met in Anaheim, California on June 16, 2022 and voted to appoint the Rev. Jeremy Sin as the new Executive Director due to health issues faced by our current Executive Director that made it impossible for him to travel and at his request to be released from his du-ties. Rev. Sin will assume his responsibilities July 1, 2022. We praise God for His provision to the Fellowship. A brief description of Rev. Sin’s qualifications and ministry experience is appended below.
We appreciate the generosity of the North American Mission Board in allowing Rev. Sin to serve in this capacity while still on staff there as their National Church Planting Catalyst.
Rev. Amos Lee will continue to serve at the Fellowship as Senior Liaison whose role is to support the minis-try of the new Executive Director.
冼志儉牧師簡介
冼志儉牧師現任美南浸信會聯會北美宣教部全國植堂宣教士,負責推動美國及加拿大東亞族裔的植堂事工。他熱心動員教會分享福音並栽植教會,同時積極物色,培育植堂傳道人。
冼牧師於香港出生、成長,於大學一年級時決志跟隨基督並于九龍國際浸信會受浸,不久即蒙召傳道。
冼牧師畢業於香港浸信會大學英文系,並於香港浸信會神學院取得道學碩士學位(1982),及於金門浸信會神學院取得教牧學博士學位(1991)。
冼牧師於北美宣教部事奉前曾牧養澳門浸信教會,並被按立(1983),同時擔任澳門浸信學校校長,又於洛杉磯,三藩市及亞特蘭大牧會,並積極參與區、州浸信會聯會活動,曾任澳門浸信會聯會書記及主席,以及加州美南浸聯會策略規劃委員會成員,喬治亞州浸聯會族裔工作組,三藩市半島區浸聯會資格審查委員會,郡內縣區浸聯會主席等工作。
冼牧師喜愛翻譯,曾參與浸信會主日學成人教材之寫作及翻譯,及制定教學指引。
冼牧師及師母有四位成年子女,皆住在亞特蘭大。
Brief Profile of the Rev. Jeremy Sin
Rev. Jeremy Sin is the National Church Planting Catalyst of the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention responsible for promoting church planting ministries among East Asian communities in the United States and Canada. He is passionate about mobilizing churches to share the gospel and plant churches, and actively seeks and nurtures church planting missionaries.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Rev. Sin decided to follow Christ in his freshman year of college and was baptized at the Kowloon International Baptist Church, where he was soon called to preach.
He graduated from the Hong Kong Baptist University with a degree in English and received his Master of Divinity degree from the Hong Kong Baptist Theological Seminary (1982) and the Doctor of Ministry degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary (1991).
Prior to his ministry in North America, Rev. Sin pastored and was ordained by the Macau Baptist Church (1983), served as the principal of the Macau Baptist School, and pastored churches in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Atlanta. He has also served as a member of the Strategic Planning Committee of the California Southern Baptist Convention, Ethnic Resource Team of the Georgia Baptist Convention, Credential Committee of the San Francisco Peninsula Baptist Association, and moderator of the Metro Baptist Association.
Pastor Sin loves translation work and has been involved in writing and translating Baptist Adult Sunday School materials and developing teaching guidelines.
Rev. and Mrs. Sin have four adult children, all of whom live in Atlanta.
