Workshops
Next‑Gen Roadmap: EM to Multi‑Generational, Multi‑Ethnic
This workshop will trace a clear growth pathwayfrom youth‑group‑centered EM to associated English congregation, to fully multi‑generational, multi‑ethnic church. We will explore shifts that are needed at each stage in leadership, structures, and mission so the next generation stays, matures, and helps lead the move toward a broader kingdom vision.

What can I keep on singing?
Creating a theological framework for song selection in church worship

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Augustine Hui serves as pastor of Brooklyn Chinese Baptist Church. He met his wife, Laura, a Georgia mountain native, while both pursued graduate studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. During their time in New Orleans, Augustine pastored a local church, which deepened his love for ministry and the local church. After more than a decade of ministry, study, and life in New Orleans, Augustine and Laura returned to New York in December 2023 with their young daughter to serve at the church where his faith journey first began. Augustine earned a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Church Music from Baylor University (2012); an M.M. in Church Music (2016); an M.Div. (2019); and a Th.M. (2025) from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is completing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Worship and Hymnology, expected in 2026.
Healthy Conflict Resolution
Conflicts will happen in ministry. Most people would rather avoid conflict. As Christians, how could we seek conflict resolution in a way that honors God and one another? What are common challenges? We will look at Scripture for guidance.
