緬甸地震賑災呼籲
緬甸第二大城市曼德勒在上周發生了7.7級的毀滅性地震，許多建築物倒塌，超過3000人死亡，更多人被埋在瓦礫中。據聯合國人道主義協調辦公室（United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs）今天（4/3/2025）發佈的報告估計，地震和餘震影響了全國330個鎮中57個鎮的1700多萬人，其中900多萬人受到嚴重的影響。
自 2021 年以來，緬甸一直遭受內戰之苦，這場地震讓緬甸人民雪上加霜，成千上萬的人因此而喪生，超過 300 萬人背井離鄉。然而，這場地震造成了某種程度的停火，使得援助得以分發到所需的社區。他們需要幫助，而且要立刻需要幫助！

Myanmar Earthquake Relief Appeal
Last week, a devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Mandalay, the second largest city in Myanmar with many buildings toppled, and more than 3,000 dead and many more buried in the rubble. A report issued today (4/3/2025) by the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs estimated that the earthquake and aftershocks have affected more than 17 million people across 57 of the country’s 330 townships, including more than 9 million who were severely affected.
This earthquake has added to the misery of the people of Myanmar which has been suffering from an internal conflict that has since 2021, taken thousands of lives and uprooted more than 3 million people. It has, however, caused a ceasefire of sorts that has enabled the distribution of aid to the communities needed. They needed help and they need it badly, now!
The Chinese Baptist Fellowship is responding to an urgent letter of appeal from the Myanmar Chinese Baptist Convention to help our Baptist brothers and sisters and others affected by this disaster. We, therefore, ask you to open your heart and wallet once again to respond to this urgent appeal. All contributions received by us will be sent to the Myanmar Chinese Baptist Convention for distribution and 100% of the funds they receive will be used directly to help those in need.
